Description
Its so easy to overlook our own strengths, especially if they are associated with our everyday lives or natural character traits. This pack of What’s your strength? ® has been designed to help adults recognise the transferable skills they’ve developed throughout their life experiences.
The cards can be used as a self-help tool or as a resource for careers professionals supporting adults through mentoring, coaching, and training.
The pack includes a wide range of life experiences to select from and when the cards are turned over a list of skills and qualities are revealed. This encourages positive self-refection and helps to unlock potential.
Being able to identify and talk about strengths helps us to:
- understand ourselves better
- embrace who we are
- improve confidence, self-esteem, and motivation
- develop career planning skills:
- researching jobs we are well suited to
- CV writing
- applying for jobs and training
- preparing for interviews
A glossary of all the words used on the cards can be downloaded here. To find out more about the different ways people use their cards, check out this free interactive pdf.
